Flowers&Rust
First of all, thank you for stopping by to read my little corner of the world. I have always loved colors, shapes, and designs. I started my first blog in 2007, and have been growing my knowledge in website design ever since. Flowers&Rust is “my personal” space on the web. This space is where I blog about life, geek out a bit, and share my design work.
A little bit about me: I was born in Alaska, and have spent the bulk of my life living just outside of Anchorage. In 2000, my children & I became a single parent household. My children and I lived in the mother-in-law apartment attached to my parent’s home, where we lived until fall 2018. When my son got to school age, it was important to me to homeschool and work from home (18 years before working from home was “a thing”). God allowed me to homeschool my children through high school graduation. Since then life went crazy with all.the.things making up the life of a parent-of-post-high-school-turning-young-adult children, and then we all added living out life in a post-Covid world, which has been interesting to say the least.
Regardless of the stage of life I’ve been in, my daily strength comes from Jesus being my personal Savior, my everything in every day. Additionally, I love all things color, patterns, letters, numbers, planning and all.the.things organized as the standard.
I’ve created several calendars, planners, and organizational tools based on combinations of what I have seen and used over the different phases of my adult life.
